Build-Your-Own Match Play
My Golf Competition
1 rounds · 1 points · 1 to clinch
Welcome to the clubhouse
Turn any golf trip into a real team competition.
You pick the rounds, the formats, and the points. Your crew drafts into two teams, then you keep live score match-by-match — handicaps, strokes, and the race to clinch, all handled for you. No spreadsheet required.
How it works — 4 steps
1
Set it up
Name your event, brand your two teams, and add as many rounds as you like. For each round choose the course, the format, how many matches, and what each match is worth.
2
Add players
Drop everyone into the pool with their handicap, then tap to crown one captain per team. Captains play too.
3
Run the draft
Captains take turns picking — snake order or straight. Rosters and team average handicaps fill in live as picks come in.
4
Keep score
On the Board, tap players into each match and tap the winner. Points tally instantly, blended handicaps and strokes show automatically, and the leaderboard tracks who's closing in on the clinch.
Formats, in plain English
Every format you can pick on Setup — choose a different one for each round.
Best Ball
Each player plays their own ball; the team takes the best score on each hole. Strokes come off the low handicap in the match.
Scramble
Teammates both hit, pick the better shot, and both play from there — repeat to the hole. Usually off a blended team handicap.
Shamble
The best drive is chosen, then everyone plays their own ball in from there; the team takes the best score. Also blended.
Greensomes
Both partners drive, keep the better drive, then alternate shots to the hole. Blended handicap.
Foursomes (Alt. Shot)
Teammates share one ball, strictly alternating shots — and alternating who tees off each hole. Low-volume, high-drama.
Pinehurst / Chapman
Both drive, then each plays the other's ball for the second shot; pick the better one and alternate in from there.
Bloodsomes
Like greensomes, but your opponents pick which of your two drives you must play. Pressure golf.
Singles
One-on-one match play. The higher handicap receives the difference in strokes off the lower.
Stroke Play
Total strokes count and the lowest score wins. Each player uses their full handicap.
Modified Stableford
Points are scored per hole (bonus for birdies and better, little or nothing for blow-ups). Most points wins, full handicap.
Skins
Every hole is its own prize — win it outright to take the skin; ties carry the skin to the next hole. Played gross, no handicap.
Custom
Roll your own. Pick the handicap rule and points per match to match whatever your group actually plays.
Handicaps & scoring
Every handicap rule in the Setup dropdown, plus how the cup is won.
Full handicap
Everyone in the match gets strokes off the lowest handicap (the low player plays scratch).
Blended
A two-player side plays off one combined number, weighted toward the low or high handicap by your slider on Setup.
Gross / no handicap
No strokes are given — everyone plays their raw score. Common for skins.
Strokes off opponent
Head-to-head: the higher handicap receives the difference in strokes from the lower.
None
No handicap adjustment is applied to this round.
Points & winning
Each match is worth the points you set; a tie splits them. First team past a clear majority clinches the cup.
